BREAK THE SILENCE CAMPAIGN

The Break the Silence Campaign is a educational program that seeks to raise awareness about various forms of abuse primarily in Canada by speaking out against these issues. We focus on prevention of abuse through education as well as support for victims.

This campaign originally started as a casual support group for abused women in 2011 but was expanded nationally in January of 2012 to include education about prevention strategies to youth in order to help them recognize the signs of abusive relationships. We were fortunate to be able to spread our message internationally, to Guyana, in August of 2012 as well.0

The Break the Silence Campaign has not only focused on domestic violence but also other forms of abuse such as sexual assault and bullying. It is our belief that these issues are becoming more common among our youth and we are committed to helping them learn how to prevent victimization in the future.

We are currently organizing an Empowerment Conference during the winter of 2012 for youth who have been victimized. The goal of this conference is to help them develop confidence and self worth.

It is our belief that when one person has the courage to speak up, it helps others find the strength to raise their voices... and so, we are the ones who will start to break the silence!

For more information or to inquire about enrolling your child in our Empowerment Conference please contact us on the BOOKINGS page.
